First Sunday of Advent 2010

Today is the 332nd day of the year. There are 33 days remaining until the end of the year (27 days till Christmas). If your birthday is today, you are a Sagittarius.

Today is the first Sunday of Advent on the Church calendar.  From a religious standpoint, then, today is really the beginning of the Christmas season.

In Massachusetts, annually, the fourth Sunday in November is John F. Kennedy Day.

Twenty years ago, today, the United Nations passed a resolution against Iraq in response to its invasion of Kuwait.  It authorized states “to use all necessary means” against Iraq unless their forces were withdrawn from Kuwait by January 15, 1991.

Anna Nicole Smith would have been just 43 years old, today.

This is Week 12 of the NFL 2010 season.
